Event description

Description

Heriot-Watt and Edinburgh Universities are delighted to present a Royal Society of Chemistry Special Lecture and wine reception.

Hosted at Summerhall on Wednesday 13th December at 19:00, our distinguished guest speaker, Professor James Brosnan from the Scotch Whisky Research Institute, takes us from grain to glass and explores the chemistry of scotch whisky - and how this simple beverage came to be worth an estimated £5 billion to the UK economy!

And why not join us afterwards for a free buffet and wine reception?

We hope to see you there!

The event is welcome to all, especially members of the public, not just for students or trained chemists!
