Welcome to the Royal Sutton Fun Run Training Week 5!

Join us at Wyndley Leisure Centre to get you ready for the big day. Whether you're a seasoned runner or quite new to running, this event is perfect for all levels of experience.

This is week 5 of a 5 week training plan where we will be running 6 - 8 miles depending on your pace

We will have trained leaders to lead groups at different paces:

12 minutes per mile

11 minutes per mile

10 minutes per mile

9 minutes or less per mile

Our experienced trainers will guide you through various exercises and techniques to help improve your endurance and performance. Make new friends, challenge yourself, and most importantly, have a great time!

We meet at SE Fitness Running & Walking Club at Wyndley Leisure Centre at 8.15 ready to start at 8.30am.

The session will start with a short warm up before joining your group for your run with the designated leader for your pace.

I don't know what pace I run at so not sure what group to select?

Download an app like Strava and record your next run to see what your current pace is (we suggest to run 3 - 4 miles for an average) or alternatively email jo@sefitness.com

Can children come along?

Due to safeguarding reasons all attendees must be over the age of 14 years old and be accompanied by an adult at all times during the run.

I have never run before, can I join?

For this training you need to be able to run continuously for 45 minutes regardless of pace. If you have never run before we suggest that you join our Couch to 5K course instead as this takes you never having run through to be able to run 5K none stop. Please contact jo@sefitness.com

What should I bring with me?

You should wear layers as you will soon warm up. We suggest you bringing water from week 3 especially if the weather is warm. Please do not bring anything with you that you cannot carry during your run or leave in your car

What should I wear?

You should wear appropriate trainers suitable for running. Please do not wear fashion shoes (i.e converse, shoes etc). If the weather is warm a suitable t-shirt will be fine (don't forget sun cream) however if it is cooler we suggest you wear layers as you will soon get warm

All the tickets for my pace have gone, can I just turn up on the day?

We do limit numbers to make sure we have enough leaders per group for safety reasons. Please email jo@sefitness.com to check availability.
