Visit the Royal Veterinary College’s Hawkshead Campus near Brookmans Park/Potters Bar in Hertfordshire, to see behind the scenes and take part in fun vet science activities!
This event will allow visitors of all ages to visit the campus of the leading vet school, to learn how staff and students look after animals, and research world class science.
You can:
- Hear mini lectures about vet school life
- Learn about links between art and science
- See RVC’s animal hospitals
- Find out about biology research including DNA and blood cells
- Younger visitors can enjoy fun future vets activities
Please reserve your free place as we have limited capacity.
All welcome to attend; children will have the chance to take part in activities about the real uses of the science to extend their understanding from the classroom.
Note: If you are a prospective student in Year 12 or 13 and would like to apply to RVC, then please sign up for RVC Open House which is running concurrently instead of Showcase event (you will still be able to take part in the Showcase activities, however you will also be given application and accommodation information).
Please let us know if you have any accessibility requirements.
You can access our site by car, and free parking is available.
Alternatively, you could take our free campus shuttle from Potters Bar Station - further details about timings will be sent after booking. There is also a traffic free walking route from the station (approx 1.6 miles).
This is a drop in event, so you can arrive and depart anytime between 11 and 3pm.
One week before the event, you will be sent schedule information to help you plan your visit.
We hope to see you there!
