This brand new experience for Winter 2025 follows in the footsteps of Scottish Royalty as you are guided through the carefully preserved rooms, from the apothecary of embalming and bustle of the bakehouse, to the beautiful Royal apartments and Royal Chapel for Stuart Kings and Queens.

Tour Details:
📅 Winter Season: November to end of February
👥 Group Size: Maximum 15 people per tour, always book in advance!
🕰️ Schedule: Six tours daily at 10:15am, 11:15am, 12:15pm, 1:15pm, 2:15pm & 3:15pm
⏳ Duration: Tours are 1 hour, plus free-roam access into gardens and gift shop
❌ Closed Days: Tuesdays & Wednesdays Palace, gardens & shop are closed. Some weekends feature special Christmas events and activities, and tours will not be running. We strongly recommend booking your tickets in advance to avoid disappointment.
Visitor Advice:
🔦 Bring a torch: Low winter light may make some areas dim.
🧥 Stay warm: Bring warm clothing as the stone walls of the Palace trap in the cold.
⏰ Arrival: Please arrive at the shop 10 minutes before your timeslot; your tour will depart from here.
🌿 Gardens: The gardens are open until 5pm, and visitors are welcome to explore until the gates are locked.

The tour includes several spiral staircases; good mobility is recommended.
