RPS Digital Imaging South East in collaboration with the RPS Nature Group is delighted to present an online talk "Passion Projects In Nature and the Landscape" with Robert Canis.

A well-known enthusiastic photographer. Robert will entertain us and share his passion for nature and the landscape and showcase his wonderful images, one not to be missed.

About passion projects Robert says: "From a stroll on the beach to covering a year in a local woodland, projects - whether short or long - are a great means of focusing one's mind on a specific species, habitat or technique.”

Robert Canis is a professional nature photographer living in Kent, England. Born in 1970, from as young as he can remember he has always had a fascination with the natural world and from the moment he first picked up a camera (a Kodak Brownie 127) at the age of 6, he’s been hooked!

Although he very much considers himself to be a stay-at-home nature photographer where a great percentage of his personal work is undertaken near to where he lives, over the years he has had a growing fascination with northern and eastern Europe which has resulted in numerous trips to Poland, Finland, Norway, Iceland and to the Czech Republic where he now regularly leads photographic landscape and wildlife tours. A regular contributor to the photographic press Robert is represented by three international agencies. He has received numerous awards in such prestigious competitions as Wildlife Photographer of the Year, Bird Photographer of the Year, British Wildlife Photography Awards, Asferico, International Garden Photographer of the Year, International Photography Awards and Environmental Photographer of the Year. Robert is the recipient of the Royal Photographic Society’s Gold Medal and in 2014 was appointed a Nikon ambassador for their Extreme Weather Photography campaign.

Cancellation policy

If circumstances beyond our control cause cancellation of the online event you will be reimbursed. Each attendee must ensure they are able to view this presentation online. It may not be possible for the host/organiser to rectify any problems attendees may have. For that reason, it is in your best interest to satisfy yourself that you can communicate via Zoom before the event. No refund will be available if you are unable to attend the meeting for any reason.
