About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

This two hour training will support you to raise awareness of global citizenship.

Global learning and the promotion of global citizenship should follow naturally as part of becoming Rights Respecting. This course aims to support this process by offering clarity about global citizenship, linked to rights. You will explore various practical ways in which your curriculum and practice can have a stronger global focus and look at best practice from rights respecting schools across the UK. It is suitable for RRSA coordinators in RRSA schools, (perhaps accompanied by your Eco Schools, Green Flag or Fair Trade coordinator). The session will also explain how global learning and action contributes to the evidence you need for RRSA accreditation at Silver and Gold.

Welcome to the training booking system for UNICEF UK's Rights Respecting Schools members (RRSA).

UNICEF UK works with schools in the UK to create safe and inspiring places to learn, where children are respected, their talents are nurtured, and they are able to thrive. Our Rights Respecting Schools Award embeds these values in daily school life and gives children the best chance to lead happy, healthy lives and to be responsible, active citizens.

Up to 5,000 schools in the UK are working towards the Award. Schools work with us on a journey to become fully Rights Respecting.

Read more about RRSA at www.unicef.org.uk/rights-respecting-schools. Find out about UNICEF UK at www.unicef.org.uk. If you do not work in a RRSA member school but are interested in finding out more about RRSA then please contact: RRSA@unicef.org.uk.

Please note all bookings close 7 days prior to the training date.
