RSA Connect: Bedford

Tuesday 12 May 2015
6pm - 8pm

Bedford Corn Exchange, St Paul's Square,
Bedford, MK40 1SL

Join us on Tuesday 12 May for our RSA Connect event.

This event presents an opportunity to learn more about the RSA's current activities, providing you with an opportunity to:

  • Meet new Fellows
  • Hear from local Fellows with projects in your area

We will have a discussion based on the RSA Power to Create and what it means for Bedford

The 21st century presents us with huge challenges. How can we empower people to be active participants in creating a world we want to live in? How can the Fellows in Bedford embody the RSA vision for the future - a world where every individual has the freedom and opportunity to develop their unique capabilities to the full.

Kayte Judge (FRSA) will be presenting The Culture Challenge and example of a successful RSA Catalyst award winner and will ask the room to consider the question: How do we create an outrageous sense of entitlement to the arts for young people in Bedford?

Do you have a project that you need RSA Fellows to get involved with? If so, do get in touch to let us know more details. If there is space in the programme we would love to give you the opportunity to present a lightening talk to the group.

We look forward to seeing you there. This event is free to attend, but you do need to register.

The RSA (Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce): an enlightenment organisation committed to finding innovative practical solutions to today’s social challenges. Through its ideas, research and 29,000-strong Fellowship it seeks to understand and enhance human capability so we can close the gap between today’s reality and people’s hopes for a better world.

Our Fellowship is a network of people from a wide range of backgrounds, united by a desire to build a better society. There are over 29,000 Fellows in more than 100 countries, working together for the benefit of their communities.

We support Fellows in developing local networks and initiatives, and through RSA Catalyst provide money and expertise to Fellow-led ideas that aim to have a positive social impact. Find out more about what’s going on in the Fellowship by reading our blogs.
