RSA Islington Network Event: The Post-Truth Era?
Wed 22 March 2017, 18:30 – 20:30 GMT
New year, new world, new insights? In this so-called post-truth era, join the RSA Islington Network for our first event of the year to discuss the new projects and ideas that have been sparked by the events of the last few months.
Seven months on from the referendum and three since the US elections, how have these events prompted and challenged your thinking, your awareness, and the kind of conversations you engage in?
Come and join us for an evening of stimulating discussion and debate. Bring your thoughts on what you are hearing, reading, discussing, and doing. We’ll be sharing new ideas and attitudes, as well as our hopes and fears about our society and future.
We’ll be having as rich, informed, and as anti-Post Truth an evening as we can!
If you have any questions, please contact Network Lead Valerie Iles FRSA: email@example.com.
To let us know of any access requirements or reasonable adjustments you have, please email the RSA team: firstname.lastname@example.org.
About this network...
Did you know there are about 1000 Fellows living or working in an Islington postcode? Many are brimming with energy, expertise, and ideas, so Islington Network evenings are an opportunity to connect with a wide range of opportunities and skills, and also a chance to think about how Islington can be a better place for the fact that it hosts so many Fellows.
The network meets 4-5 times a year, sometimes with a discussion topic, sometimes focusing on bringing people together. There is an underlying theme of ‘The Islington I see’ in that we encourage people to describe what Islington looks like through their special interest lens, highlighting aspects of interest, concern or opportunity. Members also offer guided walks around parts of Islington they know best.
The RSA Fellowship is a network of Fellows. By agreeing to participate in this event you agree to the sharing of your name and organisation with other delegates at the event so that they can contact you through MyRSA, our online portal. If you do not wish your name and organisation to be shared, please contact us.
