About this event
This October, join Reading Fellows and friends at the Reading Biscuit Factory in the heart of town. As autumn evenings draw in, join us to reconnect and spark ideas, or just for a post-work drink and a catch up!
This is an informal autumn gathering with a flexible agenda, with your RSA Area Engagement Manager, Jess McMorrow, and incoming RSA Local Community Leader, Liz Chapman FRSA. We’ll hold space for attendees to give ‘shout outs’, general chatting and possibly start collaborative planning looking ahead to the new year.
In light of the RSA 2025 theme of social connections, we are holding space for you to make the conversations and connections.
This event is free to attend, and open to both Fellows and non-Fellows. However, registration is essential. Please RSVP by clicking the button above
About Reading Biscuit Factory:
Our venue, Reading Biscuit Factory is a three-screen cinema, bar, coffee shop, live performance space and community hub situated at the heart of Reading’s town centre. Historically, it was a bakery which grew into Huntly & Palmers, the world’s largest biscuit company and Readings biggest employer in 1900. Their vast factory earned Reading the nickname “Biscuit Town”!
Taking part in RSA in-person events
To participate in the event, you will need to register for a ticket so we can make sure we have an up-to-date list of those who plan on attending. If you wish to register another attendee, this must be done separately using a different email address. This is for capacity purposes. We encourage all attendees that are ill or showing symptoms of illness to stay home and to cancel your Eventbrite ticket if you are no longer able to join the event.
At the RSA, we strive to create inclusive and supportive environments for all Fellows. We recognise that individuals may require different forms of support to fully participate in our events and activities. Therefore, we welcome and encourage Fellows to bring the support they feel is necessary, whether it be a carer, an emotional support animal, or any other form of assistance. We ask that you fill out the accessibility requirements box in your Eventbrite booking form in advance of attending one of our events to ensure that the venues can accommodate such requirements. Our aim is to ensure that everyone feels comfortable and valued, and we are committed to accommodating diverse needs to foster an inclusive community.
