Join us for this event, at which we will be watching two short videos from the RSA’s groundbreaking public events programme and discussing some of the ideas and concepts raised.
We’ll watch two videos which will be used as a stimulus for a discussion. The first video will be the recently launched RSA Animate ‘Economics is for Everyone’, narrated by economist Ha-Joon Chang. The Animate argues for including everyday people in better and more informed conversations about the economy in order to create stronger economic policy. The second video pulls together the key points articulated at the RSA’s Citizens’ Economic Council launch event ‘Can Citizens be Economists?’ in the immediate aftermath of the EU referendum.
Join us for a conversation about:
- How we can express our views about the economy and all have our say
- How politicians and policymakers can involve people in better and more informed conversations about the economy
- New and innovative approaches which empower people to more effectively participate in the decisions affecting their lives
Tickets are free and refreshments will be provided. Please book your ticket by following the 'Register' link above.
