RSHE Workshop: Non‑Fatal Strangulation (NFS) Awareness — Teacher Training
Overview
Non-Fatal Strangulation (NFS) is one of the strongest predictors of future homicide in domestic abuse cases and increasingly, it’s also being normalised and eroticised through media, pornography and social trends among young people.
This essential RSHE training helps educators understand the real risks, the law, and the safeguarding implications of strangulation and so-called “choking”, giving staff the confidence to deliver accurate, sensitive and safe classroom education.
Teachers now have a duty to teach awareness and safety as part of RSHE, consent and healthy relationships education.
