RSPB Scotland’s Giving Nature a Home team would like invite you to our November Networking Meeting. The Giving Nature a Home project is now in full swing throughout Edinburgh with many of you already involved. The day will hopefully update you on a few key areas of the project as well as give you the opportunity to listen to some interesting talks and get involved in some practical conservation tasks in the afternoon.
The event will be on the 10th November from 9.30am until 3pm. We are lucky enough to be holding the event at Gracemount Walled Garden where we have the full use of the garden as well as the youth centre. Lunch will be provided by Edinburgh Food Social.
The current agenda is as follows:
9.30 - 10am: Arrival and Teas and Coffees
This will then be followed by talks from Leonie Alexandar on her work on Green roofs and an Edinburgh Living Landscapes Update, RSPB on Biodiversity in your green space, an update on the RSPB Giving Nature a Home Project and a talk on Gracemount Walled Garden with a few more still to be confirmed.
12.15 – 13.00: Lunch (by Edinburgh Food Social)
13.00– 14.30: Practical Activities
Session 1: Using I Record
Session 2: Managing for Biodiversity in your area
Session 3: Practical in Garcemount Walled Garden by Chris Macefield
