About this event

Level 3 Food Safety and Hygiene in Catering course provides a thorough understanding of food safety and food hygiene procedures emphasising the importance of monitoring staff and controls

Attendees will learn:

How food businesses can ensure compliance with current legislation - covers: UK and EU legislation, Role of the Local Authority, Food Standards Agency, high risk food, statistics, food-borne illnesses and role of public health agencies.

Principles of good hygiene practice - covers: cross contamination, personal hygiene, cleaning and disinfection, pest control, equipment and premises, waste control.

Implementation of food safety management procedures - covers: the 12 steps of HACCP and pre requisites. Safer Food Better Business, MyHACCP.

Role of the supervisor in staff training - covers: communication, induction, formal, refresher, on going training and recording training.

This course is delivered remotely online, live with the trainer. A link will be sent to you, once you have enrolled.

Candidates will attend training with our Food Safety Consultant Trainer.

The course is delivered over 3 days.

The next course is: 24th, 25th and 26th Sept 2025.

Exam day 27th Sept 09:00 - 11am (Clapham Junction)

Cost £270pp

Course starts online at 10am and finishes around 4/4.30pm daily.

Candidates must enrol min 4 days before the start of the coursem if they require the course material to be printed and posted.

If you have access to a printer, we will email you the course material to be printed before the start of the course.

Once you have completed the training, you will then be scheduled a date for your exam.

The exam is multiple choice, 45 questions.

Certificates are issued electronically by the RSPH.

This course is RSPH and Ofqual accredited.
