Porridge. The only silver lining when summer draws to a close.
It's that time of year again and we have been scouring the UK for porridge connoisseurs to take part in our annual Rude Health Porridge Championships. We've got an impressive line up of competitors so far including; Bills, Native, 26 Grains, NOPI (Carl White), Maple and Fitz, POCO (Tom Hunt), Ludenwic Café, Farm Girl Café, Fig & Sparrow, Friska, Modern Baker, About Time Magazine (Alicia Grimshaw), Michel Roux Junior Cookery School, Jamu Kitchen (Tanita De Ruijt), Punch Foods, Rock My Bowl.
What's more is that there will be absolutely no limitations imposed in terms of what they can create. Anything’s possible, and anything’s permissible...be it sweet, savoury, salty, spiced, stealthily healthily, drop dead indulgent or just plain traditional. Prepare for some serious porridge innovation.
Want to get in on the action? Well now is your chance. Our competitors are itching for an audience to show off their creations to so we are offering a limited number of tickets for spectators to come and watch. The newly opened Rude Health Cafe will also be running a free porridge pop-up at the event, specifically catering for a porridge hungry audience so do come with an appetite. Breakfast and coffee will be available from 9:30am.
Spurtles at the ready.
We look forward to seeing you.
