Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe: A Police Perspective on the Rule of Law
Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe, QPM is a police officer and the present Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police. Sir Bernard joined the South Yorkshire Police in 1979 before transferring in 1997 to Merseyside Police as Assistant Chief Constable for Community Affairs. He then joined the Metropolitan Police as Assistant Commissioner for personnel, before his appointment as Chief Constable of Merseyside Police. Sir Bernard was knighted in the 2013 New Years Honours List.
