Rum & Realpolitik Social - 18th February 8:30pm
Date and time
(Re)introducing the Oxford International Relations Society's traditional Rum & Realpolitik social.
About this event
(Re)introducing Oxford IR Soc's flagship social, dusted down and renovated after Covid: Rum & Realpolitik
The facts:
- £3 entry for members, £5 for non-members (CASH ONLY, membership can be paid for on the door)
- Unlimited booze (subject to liver capacity)
- Various mixers of alcoholic (and non alcoholic) drinks
- 3 debate motions about the world today
- 18nd February 8:30 PM St Giles Parish Rooms
What's not to love? Take it as seriously as you want to, meet likeminded students from across the University and share opinions and arguments with others from around the globe.
Open to non-debaters as well. If you just want to bring your friends for a drink and a laugh, please do!
We operate on a first come first served basis and have limited capacity, so make sure you turn up early on the evening.
The motions:
- This house would abolish the monarchy
- This house believes that authoritarianism is the most effective form of government
- This house, as Putin, would invade Ukraine
You bring the opinions, we'll bring the rum (other drinks - plus non-alcoholic - are also available). Be there or miss the night of your damn life.
