About this Event

Beginning at 10.30am, our 5k(ish) Trail(ish) Fun Run will take you over a challenging circuit of Rainton Meadows Nature Reserve, including Nicholson’s Hill. Advanced entry for the run is available for £10, places must be booked in advance, runners will not be able to join on the day.

The course is approximately 5k in distance, participants must be prepared for trail conditions and be able to manage the Stiles on the route. If you’re not sure, do get in touch before booking your place. You take part in Run Rainton at your own risk.

Ages 6+ are welcome, under 14’s must be accompanied by an adult and must be within arms reach for the duration of the run. Anyone wishing to run with a dog can do so but dogs must be on leads and under control at all times and any poop must be scooped. Runners with dogs may also be asked to start from the back.

Your entry fee to Run Rainton goes directly to Durham Wildlife Trust, the charity who manage Rainton Meadows Nature Reserve as well as 36 other Nature Reserves from the Tees up to the Tyne. There will also be stalls including tombola and cake sales fundraising for the Trust on the day.

No refunds will be offered but runners are able to change the name on their booking up until 9th August.

We need you! If you would like to volunteer as a marshal please contact Emily at eroutledge@durhamwt.co.uk.
