Description

Ever wanted to be part of an international athletics event? This is your chance!

The Run Stirling Fun Run is open to primary school-aged children who aren't afraid to get a little bit muddy as they take on a 1K cross country course around King's Park in Stirling. Whether you are a member of your school's cross country team, or have never experienced a cross country event in your life, this is your opportunity to be the first to run on a course that will be raced by international athletes later in the day.

This event is part of Run Stirling 2020, which incorporates Home Countries and Celtic Nations International Matches, as well as the Scottish Inter-District Championships and a leg of the British Cross Challenge. Fun Run participants are invited to enjoy the rest of the event in the park with their families, with live commentary of races, food stalls and medal presentations for winning international athletes.

Fun Run participants must be at least 8 years old on the day of the race, and a current primary school pupil. Participants will receive an event t-shirt, and a medal after crossing the finish line.

Girls' Run - 10am Boys' Run - 10.15am If taking part, please arrive no later than 9.30am.

Please note: this event is a fun run, which means no times nor finishing places will be recorded.
