Run Stronger Club - Body Awareness for Runners
Event Information
Description
Run by level 3 qualified Personal Trainer and experienced ultra-marathon runner, Dan Mayers. RSC is a personal training club, for those who prefer being outdoors to training in a gym. We follow a 12-month seasonal training programme to cover ALL angles for stronger, injury free running.
Have you ever wondered what your running gait says about you? How symmetrical you are in strength and mobility? Or what your potential risk of injury might be?
This session aims to break down the movement of running and slow things right down. It’s amazing what you can discover when you take the momentum of running away temporarily. We then look at a few drills and practices to encourage good running form in perfect balance.
• Phases of the running gait and what’s important
• Heel striking vs forefoot
• Balance and symmetry
• Momentum and power generation
No running experience necessary, and no obligation to join.
