Important:
- Minimum age limit is 8 years old.
- 8 -14 year olds must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or over. (1:1 ratio)
- Don’t delay! Last year’s event sold out in just 2 hours, and even after doubling capacity to 1,000 runners, every spot was taken. We had to open a waiting list.
- This event is from 08:00 - 10:00, with check-in from 06:30. All participants must be checked-in by 07:30 and complete their run/walk by 10:00.
- Unfortunately, spectators cannot be accommodated.

Frequently asked questions
Yes. Valid photographic driving licence or passport will be required. This is a requirement for children also.
The aim of this event is to raise as much money as possible for charity. We are encouraging participants to fundraise with £100 target in mind. Please remember spaces are limited and we would like to raise as much as possible for the charities.
Yes, there will be portaloos situated at two locations.
All participants should head to the main terminal for 06:30 to register at the check-in desks (just like you would if you were flying off on holiday).
We will endeavour to hold the event even if the weather is bad, as long as it is safe to do so. Please dress appropriately.
In the unlikely event we are forced to cancel, we would ask you to consider donating your £25. If you would like a partial refund, please contact us within 7 days of the date of the event, otherwise we will assume you are happy to donate any profits from the registration fee to the charities.
Yes, we will arrange a time for participants to come in and collect your race t-shirt.
No you can't, but there will be a water station along the route. As an operational runway, we need to limit foreign object debris and ask all participants to discard water cups in the designated bins along the course. For the same reason, all you can take airside is your ID.
Yes, you can. You will need to advise security on entering the airfield.
Yes, parking spaces are available in Car Park 3. Once full, you will be directed to the overflow car park. Spaces are limited, so we encourage runners to car share where possible.
Yes, you can transfer your place by emailing runtherunway@glasgowprestwick.com. Please provide your order number and the details of the person taking your place (name, DoB, address, email, phone number, t-shirt size, distance). Changes must be made before Thursday 6th Nov.
