Event Details

Walk to Jog is a 4 week course, the group will meet and walk for 30 minutes and add in a few short jogs (starting with 15 seconds), a few warm-up exercises and a few stretches, easing you into regular physical activity. Sessions last approximately 40 minutes.

At the end of the course you can move onto Part 1 of our Beginner Running course which gradually increases how much you jog/ run but with walk breaks over 6 weeks.

If you are keen you can then move onto our 6-week Part 2 – this takes you to 35 minutes jogging/ running! - don't worry this is totally achievable.

You can come and take part for as long as you like – if the 4 week course is your aim, fantastic. You can decide at the end of each course whether you would like to move onto the next course, but there is no pressure to.

When: Wednesdays 7.30pm


What is it? A group session once a week with two walks/ runs to do imbetween.


A friendly leader who will help you.


Supportive Facebook group to help you link up with others on the same journey and to provide advice and guidance where needed.


Walk to Jog starts 18th April (4 wks)


Beginners Part 1 starts 16th May (6wks)


Beginners Part 2 starts 27th June (6 wks)


If you’re on holiday, no worries, we’ll give you the session to do and you’ll still be on track to achieve your goal.

Run4Life Bristol has helped thousands of people to make the journey to running. With our new Walk to Jog course it is now even easier to get started. 

Registration information will be kept on a secure database and will be used in a statistical format for monitoring and evaluation purposes only. You may be contacted for feedback to help with course improvement/ our project evaluators.
