Runcorn Repair Cafe – Halloween & Recycling Fun
Our brand-new Repair Cafe starts this October at Hazlehurst Studios! A Repair Cafe is a community space where people bring broken items—like clothes, electronics, or furniture—and get help fixing them for free.
At this session, we’ll offer:
- PAT testing of your electrical equipment to keep your home safe
- October theme: Halloween Costume & Clothing Fixes – bring costumes or everyday clothes for textile repairs or tweaks
- Recycling monsters: create upcycled bags perfect for collecting soft plastics or blister packs for recycling
- Art, book & craft swap – pick up unwanted supplies from our collection
- Friendly advice on sustainability, creativity, and small ways to reduce waste
Why attend?
- Keep your electrical items safe and working longer
- Give your Halloween costumes, clothing, and everyday items a new lease of life
- Try your hand at upcycling and creative recycling projects
- Connect with fellow creatives in the community
