Running form and 10K workshop
Event Information
About this Event
You have attended one of the intro workshops in the past or are interested in what practising on your running form actually entails. This workshop brings the two aspects together. We review/introduce running form for about 1h 15mins at Churchill playing fields then we go and practice our running form around Holywell Dene and lighthouse back to the Spanish City (10K). The route will take us to St Mary's light and then around either the cliffs or beach to the ramps at the end of the beach. each section will have a different form focus, some reminders and a way of structuring a practice session. You will be recorded and sent a video of you running with some voiceovers to help.
This session will be moderate in intensity, we run down the tracks to the Dene, along the Dene and up to two inclines where we practice some incline repeats as well as other form foci as we go. We then drop down to the cliff path along to St Mary's light and either run along the cliff path or beach back to the Spanish City.
These sessions are aimed at giving you the runner something to think about when you go running. How you run can make you feel lighter in your feet and develop good ease of movement, running more efficiently. Only three spaces are available not just for safety but also for some personalised feedback.
'develop good feeling with the ground' David Rudisha.
'It is not about each session running yourself into the ground, and if you are not sick at the end of the session you have not benefited, over here (in Africa) it is the reverse, they came away feeling they could do MORE'
