This course is for those wanting to develop their practice in working with groups who may be new to this area or wanting to build on existing knowledge/experience. Group therapy can be very powerful, useful and cost effective for clients as well as creating greater income opportunities for therapists.
In this 2 day workshop, we will look at planning, leading and managing an effective therapy group. we will cover a range of theoretical models with a focus on practical application. Together we will explore facilitiation styles, holding boundaries, balancing the needs of the individual with the needs of the group and management and therapeutic use of the group process.
There will be opportunites for you to voice your thoughts, feelings and practical concerns and to experiment and experience this different way of working.
You will gain insights into your own process and build knowledge, skills and practical tools to take away and apply in your work.
