A unique workshop to enhance your running experience by engaging in meditation practices. It will introduce the practice of mindful running, training ourselves to be fully present while we are running.
The workshop is based on Sakyong Mipham's book, Running with the Mind of Meditation: Lessons for Training the Body and the Mind (April, 2012). The book, by a leading international meditation master and 9 time marathon runner, offers fresh insights into the activities of meditation and running. It shows the ways our running experience can be dramatically enhanced by working with the principles of meditation.
You can find out more about the book and approach here: http://runningmind.org/

The workshop will be delivered by Linus Bewley and Sybille Barrett, both experienced meditation teachers who enjoy running.
It will introduce us to the practices of sitting, walking, and running meditation. Specific instruction will be provided, followed by short sessions of the practices. After working with our mind in stillness, we will learn how to bring our practice into our running. We will then try out what we’ve learned with a meditative run, and return to discuss our experiences.
The workshop is suitable for runners of all levels. Prior meditation experience is not necessary.
Please be ready to run outside, rain or shine.
