Female runners are more likely to suffer from particular hip, pelvic, knee and achilles and heel injuries. There are differences in how they respond to injuries and considerations for their rehab too.
This workshop will cover
- The most common running injuries women suffer from
- Common causes of injury
- What issues do females especially have to consider and how can they manage them?
- Different considerations and management at different ages and levels of running experience
- The most important exercises and flexibility training for specific injuries
- Myths vs facts - which equipment and taping techniques really makes a difference and what not to do
There will be practical demonstrations on the night and a chance to see which exercises, flexibility and performance work can help you!

This workshop will be presented by Claire Callaghan, Chartered Physiotherapist, Sport and Exercise.
Jamie Williamson, former British international runner, sub-4 minute miler and running coach will be on hand to answer questions on women's running performance.
