I would like to invite you to the Rushcliffe Spencer Academy Open Evening on Wednesday 17th September. The purpose of the evening is to give you and your child an opportunity to:
· Meet our staff.
· Tour the school.
· Receive information about various subject areas.
· Explore the opportunities we offer your child.
· Ask questions about the curriculum and pastoral systems.
This event has always been extremely well-attended, and we expect the same this year. To accommodate the large number of attendees, we have organised the evening into four sessions with staggered start times. Each session will include a presentation about life at Rushcliffe, led by the Executive Principal and Head of School, followed by an opportunity to meet students and visit subject areas.
Presentations will be held in our C-block dining hall and will last approximately 20 minutes. You are welcome to visit the subject areas independently afterward. While there will be staff and students available to assist you, there will be no organised tours.
Below are the timings for the sessions, which will start promptly. Please note that no admittance will be allowed after a presentation has begun. Given that parking is limited, especially due to ongoing building work on school grounds, please take this into consideration when making travel arrangements for the evening.
Presentation 1* – Arrival at 16:35 for a 16:45 start
Please note that although the presentations begin at 16:45, subject areas will not be available for visiting until 17:00 and parents will not be permitted onto site until 17:00 unless they have a ticket for the 16:45 presentation.
Presentation 2 – Arrival at 17:05 for a 17 :15 start
Presentation 3 – Arrival at 17:35 for a 17:45 Start
Presentation 4* – Arrival at 18:05 for a 18:15 start
For presentation 4, we recommend you visit subjects prior to the presentation.
The open evening will conclude at 19:15 – This will be signalled by the ringing of bells and an announcement through our school speaker system.
Please note: Attendance is by prior booking only. To secure a place, please book on event brite. Tickets will be available from 19:00 on Friday 5th September.
