I would like to invite you to the Rushcliffe Spencer Academy Open Evening on Wednesday 27th September. The purpose of the evening is to give you and your child an opportunity to:

• Meet the Principal and staff.

• Have a tour of the school.

• Receive information about the different subject areas.

• See what opportunities we can offer your child.

• Ask questions about the curriculum and pastoral systems.

Historically this event has always been extremely busy and this year we expect the same again. Therefore, to accommodate the large number of attendees we have organised the evening into four sessions with varying start times. Each session will consist of a presentation about life at Rushcliffe led by the Principal, followed by an opportunity to meet students and visit subject areas.

The presentations will take place in EATZ, our school canteen, which will be signposted and will last approximately 20 minutes and then you are welcome to visit the subject areas independently. There will be members of staff and students around to assist you, but no organised tours.

The timing for the sessions is below and these will start promptly, with no admittance after the presentation has started. With this in mind please be aware that our car park has a limited capacity and finding a space will often prove difficult, resulting in delays. We expect this to be especially difficult this year due to the current building work on the school grounds. Please take this into consideration when making travel arrangements for the evening.

Presentation 1* – Arrival at 16:35 for a 16:45 start

*Please note that although the presentations begin at 16:45, subject areas will not be available for visiting until 17:00

Presentation 2 – Arrival at 17:05 for a 17 :15 start

Presentation 3 – Arrival at 17:35 for a 17:45 Start

Presentation 4* – Arrival at 18:05 for a 18:15 start

*For presentation 4, we recommend you visit subjects prior to the presentation.

The open evening will conclude at 19:15 – This will be signalled by the ringing of bells and an announcement through our school speaker system.

Please be aware that attendance to this event is only permitted by prior booking.

Tickets will be available from 09:00am on Friday 15th September.
