Event description

Description

The Royal houses of Britain and Russia were bonded by close and complex family ties. The British royals preferred to keep their distance from their Russian cousins, but appreciated their wealth and taste. Following the tragic deaths of the Tsar and his family, their British cousins made an effort to buy their jewels. Many Russian crown jewels are now housed in the treasury of Queen Elizabeth II, and are sometimes displayed.

In Russian with English translation.
