Overview

Create your own unique rustic stick chair from sustainably harvested Hazel

Join us for a unique one-day workshop where you will craft your very own eco-friendly rustic stick chair, perfect for enhancing any garden or outdoor space. Under the guidance of our experienced instructors, you’ll be taken through each step of the chair-making process, from selecting the ideal materials to assembling your finished piece. You'll work with sustainably sourced coppice hazel, harvested from our own woodlands and hedgerows, ensuring your chair is both beautiful and environmentally friendly. This traditional material, known for its durability and flexibility, is ideal for creating a charming and sturdy piece of furniture.

Throughout the day, you’ll have the chance to infuse your design with personal creativity, making a chair that is uniquely yours. The assembly process uses galvanized nails to create a robust and aesthetically pleasing structure. Whether you’re a seasoned woodworker or a beginner, our workshop offers a welcoming and supportive environment where all skill levels can thrive.

By the end of the day, you'll have crafted a distinctive rustic stick chair to take home and enjoy. This workshop is about more than just furniture making; it’s about connecting with nature, embracing sustainable practices, and experiencing the satisfaction of creating something with your own hands.
