During the session, we will review how to:
• Teach children to read Speed Sounds Set 2 and 3
• Teach children to read Green Words accurately
• Practise reading nonsense words in a lively, engaging way
• Organise one-to-one tutoring to accelerate accuracy in word reading.
We will focus on how to accelerate the progress of children working below expectations.
Who should attend?
The Reading Leader and Y1 teacher or TA who tutors Year 1 children. 2 places available per school.
This training event is free of charge to Oldham OA Project Schools.
Note: There is no need to book on to the Manchester PSC event advertised for 6th March, as we will be covering all this and more on 1st April.
