Description
Join us for the Rutland Water Family Bike Ride 2018 and help raise valuable funds for the local NSPCC service centre.
Enjoy the beautiful scenery and wildlife whilst cycling at your own pace around the 17 mile perimeter of the famous Rutland Waters nature reserve. A great day out for all the family.
You’ll be guided along the route and cheered on throughout by our lovely NSPCC volunteers who'll also be handing out refreshments at various checkpoints around the circuit. A hog roast is included and will be awaiting riders at the finish line.
About the organiser
This event is organised by the Peterborough Business Support Group, a committee of local business people dedicated to raising money to help fund the work the NSPCC does with vulnerable children in the Greater Peterborough area.

What is the refund policy?
All tickets are non-refundable.
Children
The event is not suitable for children under 8 years of age as participants (unless sitting in a child's bicycle seat on their parent or carer's bicycle). All children attending or participating in The Rutland Bike Ride must be accompanied by their parent or carer at all times<
What about sponsorship?
In addition to the registration fee, riders / groups / families are encouraged to raise a minimum sponsorship of £50. While your entry fees go towards the costs of organising such a great event, it's the sponsorship money that you raise beforehand that can make all the difference in supporting the NPSCC and the brilliant work that it does locally at the Peterborough NSPCC Service Centre.
We'd highly recommend setting up a JustGiving page, as this is a quick and easy way to receive donations. JustGiving also reclaim Gift Aid.

Can we park on site?
Yes but car parking charges do apply, as below:
Up to 15 minutes - No charge
Up to 1 hour - £1.50
Up to 3 hours - £3
All Day Pass - £5
Will there be refreshments?
All riders will be given a goody bag with water and an energy bar. There will be a number of water stations available around the circuit. A hog roast will also be provided at the finish line.
I don’t have a bike - can I still enter?
If you don’t have your own bike, you can hire one from the on site Rutland Cycling shop - available at a discounted rate. However, bikes must be pre-ordered in advance of the event. Please call Rutland Cycling direct on 01780 460 705 and quote the NSPCC Sponsored Bike Ride.
Dedicated first aid marshals will also be on hand to help on the day, as well as Rutland Water’s very own ‘Bike Doctor’ who will be able to assist with any minor repairs, punctures, or adjustments needed on the day.
Is there a time limit?
The event is not a race so feel free to take the route at your leisure. Rest stops can be made at one of the various cafés along the perimeter.
