The RYA Powerboat Level 2 Course is a 2 day course provides the skills and background knowledge needed to drive a powerboat and is the basis of the International Certificate of Competence (ICC) which is the certificate required to drive or hire a powerboat abroad.

Whether you have no previous experience or would like to brush up your skills this is the course for you!

Previous Experience: None (you do not need to have completed RYA Powerboat Level 1 to do this course)

Minimum Age (school boat): 14 years (those aged between 14-15 years will receive an endorsed certificate)

Course content:

• Launching & Recovery

• Boat handling at low & higher speed

• Securing to a buoy

• Man overboard

• Anchoring

• Leaving & coming alongside (marina handling)

• Basic Navigation & passage planning

• IRPCS (road rules)

• Weather & Tides
