The RYA Scotland Team 15 Tiree Wave Camp is a unique opportunity to develop your skills on the waves. With a top class coaching team from across the UK you will progress through the week building confidence in waves and improving our overall skill level. No matter how long or short you have windsurfed for we want to see you on the water.
So equipment to use in the waves is key to having a fun filled week. First up is personal kit - you must have a suitable wetsuit for the conditions and weather, please bring hats and gloves and a suitable over jacket to keep you warm. All sailors must wear a Bouyancy Aid and a Helmet. If you require a helmet then please get in touch with me directly.
Boards -We recommend short boards of no less than 80L (dependant on sailor size) and of a wave/freeride style. The age of the board is not important as long as it floats and you can make it go. Bigger boards are fine for blasting about on and playing in small waves but we recommend nothing larger than 140L.
Sails/Rigs - Don’t panic we are not expecting you to come with the biggest quiver of sails in the world but it would be great if you can come with two sails one that you can comfortably sail on in ideal conditions and a change down (Tiree is windy) there is no ideal sail size to recommend as everybody is different but the larger sail should not exceed 6m. For all you wave heads out there, have no fear you probably have the right kit. If you are unsure about kit then please get in touch directly with me email@example.com
If you are looking to hire equipment then you must get in touch with Wild Diamond now to book your kit. They have a full range of kit from boards to wetsuits. The centre has some of the best equipment in the country and the team are keen to kit anybody out. firstname.lastname@example.org t |+44 (0)1879 220399 m | +44 (0)7712 159205
