We're very excited to welcome two of the most brilliant young writers in the UK today - Harriet Armstrong and Saba Sams - in conversation with poet and author Rachel Long.
Harriet Armstrong has published several short stories in Granta, The Georgia Review, the Virginia Quarterly Review, and Forever Magazine. To Rest Our Minds and Bodies, her first novel, has been widely praised as an original, astute and ambitious coming-of-age novel, with The Guardian praising Armstrong as a singular new voice in fiction. It is currently one of Lala Books' best selling books of the summer.
Saba Sams, whose much-loved story collection Send Nudes won the Edge Hill Prize, has won the BBC National Short Story Award and been shortlisted for the Dylan Thomas prize, in addition to being selected one of Granta’s Best of Young British Novelists in 2023. She recently released Gunk, her electrifying debut novel exploring love and desire, safety and destruction, chaos and control – and family in all its forms.
Harriet and Saba will be in conversation with Rachel Long, author of the acclaimed poetry collection My Darling from the Lions, which was shortlisted for the Forward Prize for Best First Collection, the Costa Book Award and the Rathbones Folio Prize. She is currently working on her forthcoming second poetry collection.
