An evening of poetry under our Best of the West Midlands banner, we’re delighted to welcome Liz Berry, Roz Goddard, and Casey Bailey (current Birmingham Poet Laureate) to the festival for an evening of rich and emotive poetry. This collective represents a wide span of writing perspectives, all of which speak to the roots of the West Midlands to some degree. Borrowing from their shared expertise in regional writing, Berry, Goddard and Bailey will deliver solo performances during this event to showcase their work and the evening will conclude with a question and answer session. During this, all three poets will welcome questions from audience members and they look forward to this open discussion dealing in poetics, publishing and pride for your roots, both in terms of writing and geographical setting.
