Event description

Description

Sabrina Piggott is no stranger to Chapel FM and we are only too happy to see her back with the release of her new album—Roots and Wings. She will be supported on the night by two more amazing women performers—Siobhan Mac Mahon and Miranda Arieh. All in all it will be a beautiful night of adventures in music and poetry...

Sabrina Piggott—Folk Adventurer

Sabrina's songs are full of a sense of open space and possibilities. For Sabrina is an adventuress. An award-winner. In many ways a free spirit. With roots and wings.

Her rich traditional music background derives from her ancestral home, the countryside of Cork, in Ireland. And her distinctive rippling, almost Philip Glass evoking, acoustic guitar style sets the tone for a heart-melting voice, with its Celtic timbre, that pulls the emotion out of the lyric.

Siobhan Mac Mahon

Siobhan is Irish Performance Poet living in Yorkshire. The live experience and embodiment of the Spoken Word is at the heart and centre of her work. Her poems, powerful and often funny, celebrate and explore our sacred connection and belonging to the Earth. She has collaborated with Sabrina in the past and they will shortly be touring Ireland together.

Miranda Arieh

Miranda has performed at Chapel FM as part of the Sisterhood Collective and she is gearing up to her own album release in July at the Brudenell where she will play with full band. At Chapel FM she plans to play a more intimate solo set. As an accomplished songwriter and mental health campaigner, Miranda has made a name for herself for her passionate live performances and unique style.

"Hypnotic" was how Tom Robinson described her on BBC 6 Music.
