Join me for a luxurious & indulgent yoga retreat surrounded by the beautiful & sacred landscape of the Avebury Unesco World Heritage Site.
About this event
Deep in the Wiltshire countryside, surrounded by farmland and nestled between the mysterious Silbury Hill, West Kennet Longbarrow and nearby Avebury Stone Circle, we will gather for a truly luxurious and sacred yoga retreat.
Avebury is the largest known stone circle in the world, and the sacred landscape surrounding our retreat is part of the Avebury and Stonehenge World Heritage Site due to its incredible neolithic and bronze age monumental landscape. A visit to this beautiful part of Britain leaves you feeling truly immersed in history and reconnected with the sacred practices carried out thousands of years ago, at a time when people honoured and respected nature.
Accommodation
We will be staying at The Farm at Avebury, in luxurious and beautifully appointed accommodation. The lovingly converted stables are sited around a landscaped courtyard and each have their own slightly different style, kitchen facilities and sitting areas so you can choose to be as sociable or not, as you wish. There are plenty of communal seating and dining areas in the courtyard which we can enjoy.
Schedule
Our schedule is subject to change but this will give you a rough idea of what to expect
On Friday evening check in is from 5pm onwards, tea/juice and snacks on arrival. From 6-7:30pm we will gather for the welcome circle and a gentle yoga practice to unravel after your journey to the site, followed by sharing in a delicious supper. Food is incredibly important to me and nutritious and delicious food forms a key part of my retreats.
Weather and tiredness permitting, we might sit and chat around a firepit under the stars before heading to our luxury accommodation for a cosy sleep.
On Saturday morning there will be early morning tea and a smoothie or some fresh fruit available from 7 onwards for those who would like it. Optional meditation or pranayama at 8:30, followed by a nourishing flow class from 9-11am.
After class there will be a shared hearty brunch and then you will have free time until our afternoon practice. Feel free to explore the surrounding countryside or just relax on the Farm.
