Safe and Together is coming to Southampton!
About this event
Southampton has adopted the Safe and Together Institute model to working with families impacted by domestic abuse. This is an international programme, and Southampton has joined the Safe and Together UK Implementation Forum for sharing learning and best practice.
Safe and Together is a perpetrator pattern-based framework that puts child healing, safety, stability, rights, hopes, nurture and best interests at the centre of its work. It focuses on the ‘how’ to work with families, not just the ‘what’.
Safe and Together Awareness
The two half-day sessions will provide you with an overview introduction to the Safe and Together Institute model. Attendees must attend both half day sessions.
The training is for any practitioners in Southampton who works with children and families, including soon-to-be parents and men, and all agencies are welcome.
This training is free to partner agencies of the SSCP and is funded by the IDVA service in collaboration with the SCC Children & Learning Service.
This training will be run virtually and participants will be provided with a joining link.
Training dates are:
Cohort 1 - 5 & 6 July 2022, 1-4pm or
Cohort 2 - 3 & 4 August 2022 1-4pm
Please note that those booking into Cohort 1 will need to book for both July dates, and the same for Cohort 2 in August.
