Join us at Queen Mary Univesity Of London BLOC, for a dynamic, in-depth workshop exploring the role of the Intimacy Coordinator in filmmaking.
This session is designed for filmmakers, actors, producers, and industry professionals who want to expand their understanding of how to create respectful, safe, and creatively empowered environments when working with scenes involving intimacy.
The first half will consist of a panel with leading industry professional Tolu Oshodi, a certified intimacy coordinator, who will share her expertise and experiences. We'll also share her short film Remnants.
Through honest conversation and examples from film, we’ll uncover both the challenges and solutions shaping today’s standards.
After lunch, the second half shifts into practical demonstration of how an intimacy coordinator works on set, demonstrating what's in an IC's 'tool-box'.
Attendees will gain first-hand insight and ability to ask questions. Whether you're new to the concept or looking to embed these practices into your own productions, this important workshop offers a unique, hands-on learning experience that bridges policy with practice - no matter your production's budget.
