About this event
Safeguarding Adults Level 1 training including scams awareness for volunteers and voluntary, community, faith groups and social enterprises working across Cheshire East.
What will the training cover?
- Understand what adult abuse and safeguarding adult’s means
- Develop awareness of the Care Act & Making Safeguarding Personal
- Be able to recognise possible signs and indicators of abuse
- Understand your role if you suspect an adult is being abused
- Know how to report a concern, disclosure or allegation
- Scams Awareness

Paul Broadhurst, Training Officer from Cheshire East Safeguarding Adults Board - Peoples Directorate Cheshire East Council.
When and where will the training take place?
Monday 4th July 2022 at 11:30am to 1pm online via Microsoft Teams.
There are several other dates and times available between April and July 2022 through Eventbrite. If you would like to host and run a face-to-face training session at your community venue for your staff and/or volunteers in Cheshire East please contact Caroline Lewis from Cheshire East Social Action Partnership on caroline.lewis@cesap.org.uk to arrange.
All the sessions are free of charge but the following stipulations do apply:
There is an enrolment form which needs to be completed and returned by a manager within your group or organisation following the training. This is to provide evidence to the Department of Education of attendees trained to enable the training to be free of charge. Therefore before confirmation of your training place you will need to identify and inform the Organiser (Cheshire East Social Action Partnership) who this will be .
Once you have registered your place to attend via this Eventbrite registration a member of the Cheshire East Social Action Partnership team will contact you via email confirming your place and further details for attending the training.
