Safeguarding Awareness Training
Sat 20 May 2017, 14:00 – 16:00 BST
It is a requirement for all adults in Scouting to have undertaken ‘approved safeguarding training’ at least every five years and this is monitored at the point of appointment review.
This course will look at recognizing the signs and symptoms of abuse, how to report an incident / concern / worry / gut feeling that you have about a young person, and good practice solutions that adults in Scouting will encounter with young people in their sections.
Given the nature of safeguarding, best practice is to attend a face to face training course.
