Event Information
About this Event
There have been a number of new publications and guidance from the DfE as well as the launch of local and national safeguarding children initiatives which means that you probably need to update your safeguarding children knowledge.
All settings are expected to have robust safeguarding systems in place and be able to evidence how you create and sustain a culture of vigilance where children’s welfare and safety is actively promoted.
Join this session to find out more about:
- Statutory guidance and local updates including Covid19
- The responsibilities attached to your lead role
- How to evidence successful signs of safeguarding
- New and emerging child protection risks
- Understand the importance of management oversight
- When and how to offer early help to vulnerable children
The course costs £100 per delegate (plus Eventbrite fees)
Each delegate will receive a comprehensive handout and certificate
“My family worker and I recently attended Susan's training. Safeguarding is never a training session to look forward to but Susan's unique approach and delivery provided fresh insight, excellent advice and up to date guidance. The sessions were very well organised and there was a balance of activities to help us think about 'best practice' and how to improve safeguarding in our own setting.”
