Safeguarding is everybody's responsibility. There are a range of resources to help parents to better understand how to spot the signs and to learn how to protect their children from harm; these include illegal and harmful practice such as FGM or the cut, guidance for using technology such as the Internet and mobile phones, how to notice whether a child is being bullied, whether a young person has mental health concerns, is being exposed to gangs or sexual exploitation. There are so many areas.
If the resources are all in English you are missing important information.
VCS faith groups and family support organisations are invited to nominate French speaking parents to a focus group to discuss their NSPCC safeguarding support needs and the new resource pack.
Places are limited to 10 parents. Support staff and volunteers are welcome to attend with parents.
Parents will receive a voucher for full participation.
VCS groups should nominate parents by 12 Noon Tuesday 20 September 2016
