Event description

Description

Safeguarding is a term used in the United Kingdom and Ireland to denote measures to protect the health, well-being and human rights of individuals, which allow people — especially children, young people and vulnerable adults — to live free from abuse, harm and neglect. It is seldom out of the news these days.

If you are in a role where you come into contact with children, young people or vulnerable adults, you will need to understand the types of abuse that can occur, how to identify the signs that somebody might be at risk and what to do if you suspect it is happening.

This short session will provide you with the basics around having a poilcy in place and the esssentials to get you started in order to protect those in your care as well as your staff and volunteers. Signposting to further, more detailed information or accredited training will also be provided.

This event is currently full. Please add your self to the waitlist and if a ticket becomes available you will be notified. Also it will also enable us to monitor demand for an additional session.
