About this event

  • 2 hours 30 minutes

In order for the Council to establish whether an applicant is fit and proper, the applicant must provide evidence of attending a Doncaster Council approved safeguarding advice and guidance session within the 12 months prior to making an application.

The session will provide an awareness of:

  1. Understanding the need to protect vulnerable adults, young people and children.
  2. Identifying possible victims of abuse and exploitation by understanding indicators of risk.
  3. Identifying sources of advice and pathways for reporting concerns.
  4. Understanding their roles and responsibilities in relation to personal safety and security.
  5. County lines exploitation.

The knowledge test consists of questions relating to the conditions of the licence, the laws relating to the licence, geographical knowledge of the area, customer care and disability awareness.

We encourage all applicants to read the ‘Doncaster Council’s Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Licensing Policy.
