It is a statutory requirement for those working closely with CYP and adults at risk. This course, which is NUCO accredited, provides a lifetime qualification. With supplementation of updates delivered electronically and face-to-face, it supports an ongoing understanding of safeguarding and its practice.
It is designed for learners who have contact with children, young people or vulnerable adults in their working environment. It promotes awareness and sensitivity to safeguarding enabling learners to be able to identify issues. It further emphasises the responsibility and the procedures to ensure that concerns are reported and acted on appropriately.

- Safeguarding legislation and guidance
- Indictors of abuse or neglect
- Roles and responsibilities
- Dealing with and reporting of allegations and complaints.
