About this event

  • 1 hour

We meet on a termly basis and our next date is Wednesday 15th May (moved from Monday 25th March). Subsequent dates will be sent to you and are bookable via Eventbrite. Events are free for Swift members but open to non-members for a reasonable charge. They are open to all teachers and leaders who have a responsibility for safeguarding within their setting.

The PDC is led by two NSPCC trained facilitators from both a secondary and primary school setting.

The purpose of the PDC is to:

  • Provide regular updates on local and national developments in safeguarding
  • Opportunity to network and share best practice with other safeguarding colleagues.
  • Where opportunities arise to collaborate and develop approaches to the development of safeguarding approaches.

Details of the focus of each termly meeting will be sent to PDC members. Members are also invited to suggest areas they would like to explore within the PDC.

Focus for Wednesday 15th May:

  • Tips for creating and maintaining a Safeguarding Culture within your school
  • How can schools ensure that the notion that ‘Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility’ is a reality in their setting?
  • What successful ways have you found to do this?

You will receive the link to join the online meeting via email in the week before the session.

We look forward to seeing you!

Facilitators: Sarah Langford and Tash Summerville
