Safeguarding Refresher (SG)
Required by all roles with appointments (except SAS members and exec members), every 5 years
This renews and updates the Safeguarding training received in module 1 when a person joins scouting. It increases your understanding of the issues and how to recognise concerns, it explains your role and responsibilities and gives practical guidance on what to do when.
It is an option to do the online course but only every other refresher may be done this way.
On the day

Aim to arrive 15 minutes early to give yourself time to register and have a drink and start to get to know everyone.

CHARGING POLICY: All courses are free for Dorset scouts adult volunteers. However, your district will be charged if you do not attend, charges are £10 - £40 depending on the course. If you are from another county and wish to book, please email to discuss.
