Safeguarding - Train the Trainer Event - Gipsy Hill Hotel, Exeter

The Safeguarding Team will be holding a Train the Trainer event on the 19th October 2019 at the Gipsy Hill Hotel. This training event will provide you with the most up to date training and will equip trainers to deal with the many and varied questions raised around safeguarding including information on current trends and best practice.

The aims are:

• To reinforce that Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.

• To ensure that all our adults are familiar with the Yellow Card and are confident in understanding it’s application in Scouting.

• To enable adults to reflect on their current practise to ensure that the organisation is as safe as possible.

• To ensure everyone is confident with reporting concerns.

The day will be from 9.30am - 4.30pm. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. This is a non-uniform event. You will not need to bring anything with you.

There are parking facilities on site.

There are 50 places available for this day. To attend, please sign up via Eventbrite. Please note that the site automatically generates a ticket when you sign up to this event - you do not need to print this or bring it along with you.

You will need the approval of your County/Area/Regional Commissioner to attend this event.

If you are unable to attend please cancel your ticket as soon as possible to offer your training position to another trainer.
